A huge heartfelt THANK YOU to my students, customers, friends, & loyal supporters of my locations in the Tampa, FL area.
Serious Fun Art Studio began in 2011 in my home studio, then grew to share space with local boutiques. I merged in with Silver Linings, and then became a supplying artist to RareHues Modern Vintage Market as they launched in Tampa.
For 3 years there I taught furniture painting workshops, sold custom items (art + furniture), and participated in the inaugural original art show "The Gallery at RareHues."
From 2015-2017, I had the privilege of orchestrating my own shop as a multipurpose art studio that I was proud to open to the public.
It was a tremendously fun adventure bringing in guest artists to share with you on my gallery walls, various instructors to provide creative workshops, and fun products & home decor for the retail storefront.
I taught Watercolor classes and Paint Night workshops, adding in Wire Art Sculpture, Encaustic Wax Art, and then furniture painting. My workshop area saw a ton of furniture get overhauled with fresh paint during my hands-on workshops and commissioned pieces. I have great memories of all the students enjoying classes and events in my fun, creative shop!
Many thanks to all of you who have spent creative time with me at Serious Fun Art Studio during those years.
My life and available creative time have changed since my baby girl arrived and Mom became my full-time job. During her naps and other time I can carve out, I'm now focused on creating my personal art and making it available both online and in-person.
Although I miss the teaching opportunities I had with my studio locations, I'm excited to have this refined direction and be making art in my home studio again. I feel thankful and so blessed for the support I've received, and now I look forward to what's new for Ginger Myers Art!
